Below is recent feedback received from our course participants. Participants were asked what things will they do differently in thier job as a result of the training:
It will enable me to carry out my work more effectively with service users with more challenging behaviour with confidence.
I will feel more confident when supporting residents with challenging behaviour and safely restrain and use holds if ever required. I will feel more confident with de-escalation techniques and resolving conflicts.
I will use what I have learnt in the training to make my work performance better and safer for the resident and myself. Also give me better confidence in future difficult situations that I may come across.
It will help me feel more confident when approaching a resident that is showing signs of agitation and how to handle and calm a stressful situation. I can support staff also with difficult situations with the NAPPI training.
I am going to go away and watch the Naomi Feill youtube video. But also I learned more about how to deal with family members properly and found that the course was very informative. The trainer could really help transform upstairs in my opinion working with us!
I've really enjoyed learning every aspect that was covered toady I feel my knowledge on dementia is a lot better but I think you can never learn enough about dementia, I feel I will use elements of cognitive decline. I feel I understand the reasons behind behaviour of dementia. Jay is very fab.
