At the beginning I told the trainer my needs a
with regards to challenging behaviour that I would like to know how to deal with people who are upset I now know that I would use 100% attendance to deal with a person not attitute
The training will equip myself on finding out the trigger and understanding how best to resolve it before it gets out of hand. It will also help me to block any blows which is intended to come in my face before it gets there.
It will also help me to be focused when out in the community.
It will change a good practice as I learned smarty words. I also learned how to follow policies and procedure. The course has given me confidence to do my work without fear. It also gave me how to block dangerous situations when a service user is trying to approach me, how to defend myself
After taking part in this course, I will go into work with an even more open mind. It will change the way to support the service users in a positive way. I will work with more empathy and understanding of why and how a persons behaviour can/will change. Also I ave more knowledge of how to protect myself and others
The learning will help me to understand the challenging behaviours of the service users I support. I have learned how to stay one step ahead, move one step at a time, attend 100%, how to refocus the attention and how to work together to bring a holistic support to help the service users to fulfil their potential positively.
