Below is recent feedback received from our course participants. Participants were asked what things will they do differently in thier job as a result of the training:
Yes I can use what I have learnt in my place of work.
The red scale stood out more to me.
I have enjoyed the training it is very informative.
The skills I have learn are very useful for me e.g. the restraint techniques.
Because I said when I talk to a certain person he gets aggressive so I will walk away so somebody else can talk to him. I really enjoyed my training it helped me a lot and Emily is very helpful and kind.
It will help me understand how the residents are feeling and acting when they become distressed. I now feel confident about protecting others and myself when another resident may be distressed. The physical training will help when people need essential care.
More confidence. Less stressful. Communicate more. Be more understanding.
The course was very interesting I really enjoyed the course and learnt a lot. It was very helpful to my role. Emily was fantastic.
It will help me become more confident in the workplace. I enjoyed the whole of the course and it helped me understand the need for different types of approach to challenging behaviour. And to use key listening skills to assess each situation.
I would help when it is necessary to do this kind of task, although they may not all be required, and any new staff should do the training within the first week of starting employment with the company.
I really liked points emphasised on the red and green behaviour scale. I also feel confident protecting myself and other service users. I feel confident and really interested if any more further training is needed.
