Below is recent feedback received from our course participants. Participants were asked what things will they do differently in thier job as a result of the training:
Use of the PBS continuum. Physical techniques. Staying one step ahead. Bringing together a group of people as a team. Raise my awareness and enable me to support others more effectively.
To look from a team approach the different aspects they see of a person and how this can be used to get the best outcome. Good also to know what questions the team have and an open forum for the difficulties they are having.
Behaviour scale, implementing and using as tools in the workplace to improve service users quality if life. Problem solve with fellow staff. Three days of effective communication between staff. Realising what is essential care, now or later.
I will have further awareness in day to day situations and use certain techniques as discussed in training.
The PBS model was interesting and it makes people think deeper with regards to the customers we deal with.
I found the traffic light system really useful and will be able to use the Green Questioning in a lot of areas of my job.
The course overall will help me support my team when they have to deal with difficult situations.
Stop think, approach with a different mind set and only if all avenues exhausted RPI. Document stages and look at implementing RPI and release asap. Stages of RPI looking after patient, relatives staff and environment.
