This training made me reflect on how we can better support a certain service user by working better in a team when we need to use NAPPI physical techniques.
Help me to work with the team and understand the role of each person. I will work in a safe environment, if all use this technique. I am happy because I can work and do my job without putting service users in any danger.
The courses been very enjoyable and instructive making it more simple to take on board the method shown. Because of the way Tony has put the practice across, it will be easy to put the methods into practice within the homes.
Tony also introduced humour into the course which has made the course easier to understand.
Other training that I've received in the past, I found to be very excessive and over the top. Which I did not like as it sometimes made it too difficult to understand.
NAPPI training has been taught in a simple and comprehensive way, by an instructor that was approachable, humorous and makes a course easy to understand with direction. The course also stresses the use of documentation and recording to also make the use of Intervention with no aggression and a safe environment.
I will be more able to understand and help service users more effectively in addition to knowledge Learned.
Take the relevant tasks and with confidence as I am more equipped to protect myself and services is through implementing a safe way to support someone displaying challenging behaviours.
The NAPPI training that I have received over the last three days has been fantastic I have learnt more than I thought, I am also very happy to put the new skills into practice and have a team meeting to talk about putting it into action, thank you Tony.
I feel more confident using NAPPI as it is less aggressive than [Former Provider]. I have found the paperwork simpler for everyone to complete and refer to across the service due to the better documentation and consistent language.
I found the course very enjoyable and the trainer very knowledgeable and approachable. Most of all I feel our work place will be a safer environment and will improve the lives of the service users and the staff.
NAPPI training will help us focus a lot more on psychological techniques to support our service uses. To prevent behaviour's from escalating which is much needed.
The paperwork has been highlighted in a very constructive way for detail I really appreciate the template given also has given me more confidence in the areas where i have struggled before.
