Below is recent feedback received from our course participants. Participants were asked what things will they do differently in thier job as a result of the training:
It will help me protect myself and the others around me in the workplace.
The ability to remain calm and confident is due to having the knowledge from the training for both parties to remain safe.
I have enjoyed learning about the red behaviour scale and intend to put in place within the service that is a very good piece of work to enable the staff to work more effectively according to the individual needs.
Hopefully remove the majority of the danger. it has empowered me with assertiveness and confidence.
I hope this will restore the services users confidence in me and leads to a happier and more fulfilled supported relationship.
Have learnt physical interventions which will improve how I support individuals and also different avoidance techniques.
Lalemand behaviour scales very interesting and a lot easier to understand than previous training models.
I feel the training will give me more confidence in my job and really help me to understand what might trigger challenging behaviours.
How to turn it around before it goes too far and also how to understand service user needs and being able to bring things and try new things into their everyday lives.
I feel that the Lalemand red and green behaviour scales would be really helpful in the place I work, especially for new members of staff. I also think the documentation activity would be good to implement. I have enjoyed this course.
I found the Lalemand red and green behaviour scales very informative about the service user. Also the way to restrain service users without force was very good and gave me more confidence if I had to use this.
the red/green behaviour scale is really good and would be useful for some of our service users. The guidance technique is also really good and would be useful for some of our service users to have in their care plan.
Staff will implement the red and green behaviour scales- very useful for improving the clarity of incident reports/ recording potential triggers and distraction/ deescalation techniques. General increase in confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour.
